ACCA here we go

ACCA Journey Begins!

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share that I officially gained access to the ACCA platform yesterday and am now a student! I’ve received exemptions for my first four exams, but I can’t help but feel a bit anxious since I have just three years to complete all my exams. This timeline is part of the agreement with my company, which covers my tuition and exam fees.

After reading various opinions online and consulting with ChatGPT, I’ve decided to follow this exam sequence: FR, AA, TX, PM, FM, SBL, SBR, AFM, and AAA. Do you think I can tackle all of these within three years? Looking forward to your thoughts!

  1. Congratulations on starting your ACCA journey! It’s great to hear that you’ve received your access to the platform and have exemptions for the first four exams. It’s natural to feel a bit scared, but remember that many have successfully completed the ACCA program within three years, so it’s definitely achievable with the right approach.

Your planned exam order looks sensible, especially since you’re starting with Financial Reporting (FR) and progressing to more advanced topics. Here are a few tips to help you manage your studies within your timeline:

    1. Create a Study Plan: Break down your study materials into manageable chunks, and set deadlines for each topic. This will help you keep track of your progress.

    2. Stay Consistent: Try to study consistently rather than cramming. Even dedicated study hours each week can lead to significant progress over time.

    3. Practice, Practice, Practice: Ensure you’re doing plenty of practice questions and past papers. This will not only reinforce your learning but also help with exam technique.

    4. Join a Study Group: Connecting with fellow ACCA students can provide motivation, support, and different perspectives on the material.

    5. Take Care of Yourself: Balancing study, work, and personal life can be tough. Make sure to take breaks and manage stress effectively.

With dedication and effective planning, you can definitely manage to complete all your exams within three years. Best of luck with your studies! You’ve got this!
