Acca after bachelors

Pursuing ACCA after my Bachelor’s Degree

I’m currently studying for my Bachelor’s in Accounting and finance, and I’ve found out that I’ll be eligible for 9 paper exemptions in the ACCA program once I graduate. I’ve heard that the final exams can be quite challenging, especially since a Bachelor’s in Accounting tends to be more straightforward compared to ACCA. I’m looking for insight from anyone who has completed their Bachelor’s and then gone on to earn their ACCA certification. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting and finance and considering the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification afterward! Here are some thoughts on your situation:

    1. Exemptions: With your bachelor’s degree granting you 9 exemptions, you’re already ahead of the game. This means you will only need to focus on the remaining papers, which will help you manage your study load better.

    2. Difficulty Level: While it’s true that ACCA exams are known to be challenging, having a solid foundation in Accounting from your bachelor’s program will definitely help. Many candidates find that the understanding they gain during their undergraduate studies allows them to relate concepts better and apply them in ACCA exams.

    3. Study Approach: The key to success in ACCA is disciplined study and a strategic approach. Make sure to create a study plan, utilize ACCA resources, and consider joining a study group or finding a mentor who has completed the qualification. There are also many online resources and courses that can provide additional support.

    4. Practical Experience: If you haven’t already, try to gain some practical experience as you prepare for your ACCA exams. This will not only enhance your understanding but also help you apply theory to real-world situations, which is crucial for the exams.

    5. Mindset: Stay positive and approach the exams with confidence. Many people have successfully transitioned from a bachelor’s program to ACCA, so you’re definitely not alone. It’s about consistency and determination.

Ultimately, with the right preparation and mindset, you can certainly navigate through the remaining ACCA exams. Good luck on your journey!
