AA Notes – OpenTuition Experience?
Hi everyone! I previously used OpenTuition lectures and notes, along with BPP textbooks and revision kits, to successfully pass TX and FR. I’m now gearing up for the AA exam in June.
Since I work full-time, my time to study is quite limited. I’m curious if anyone has utilized the AA notes from OpenTuition. Do you think it’s worth my time to create my own notes for this subject? Personally, I find that making notes for every chapter is very time-consuming, and I believe it might be more beneficial to focus on practicing exam-style questions instead. However, I’m uncertain about relying solely on OpenTuition’s notes.
What have your experiences been, and what would you suggest?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

Hi there!
It’s great to hear that you found success with the opentuition resources for TX and FR! When it comes to the AA exam, many students have found opentuition’s notes and lectures quite helpful, especially when time is limited. Since you’re already familiar with the format and style of the materials, it might be a good idea to stick with what you know rather than spending extra time making your own notes.
Your approach of focusing on exam-style questions is definitely valuable. Practicing questions will not only reinforce your understanding of the concepts but also help you get used to the exam format. Consider the following tips:
Use opentuition’s notes as a foundation: They can provide you with a structured overview of the key topics. You can highlight and annotate them based on your understanding, which saves time compared to creating comprehensive notes.
Practice Questions: Prioritize practicing past exam papers and questions from BPP or other revision kits. This will help you apply what you’ve learned and identify any areas where you need further review.
Time Management: Since you’re balancing work and study, set clear goals for each study session. Allocate time for reviewing the opentuition notes and then use the rest for practice.
Supplement with Other Resources: If you find certain concepts challenging, don’t hesitate to seek out additional resources, whether they’re videos, forums, or study groups.
Ultimately, the best study method varies for each individual, so use what feels most effective for you. Best of luck with your preparation! You’ve got this! 😊
