Is a Career Switch to finance a Good Move for Me?
Hi everyone, I’m nearing 23 and about to graduate with a Bachelor’s in Aviation Management. As an EU student, I’m now considering a complete shift in my career path, either to Software Engineering (SWE) or finance.
My plan is to pursue a second Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields and gain as much experience and undertake projects during that time. I’m also considering pursuing a master’s degree abroad, with the goal of breaking into the job market in Germany—specifically in Frankfurt for finance or Munich for tech.
I’m aware of some of the challenges in finance, like poor work-life balance and subpar salaries.
What advice do you have for me? I’m eager to find a job that offers a good income, as I don’t think aviation will provide that for me. Thank you!
