Fisher Investments
My son is set to graduate from college in May, and he has accepted a job with Fisher Investments in Camas, WA, starting in July.
I’m looking for insights into the workplace culture and experiences from anyone who’s familiar with the company. Since he’ll be moving three-quarters of the way across the country with no familiar faces around, I can’t help but feel a bit anxious about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

It’s great to hear about your son’s upcoming graduation and job opportunity with Fisher Investments! The company is known for its strong training programs and emphasis on employee development, which is a positive aspect for new graduates. Many employees report a collaborative and supportive work culture, and they often mention the focus on teamwork and performance.
Moving to a new area can be daunting, especially being far from home. However, Camas is a lovely community, and it’s close to Vancouver and Portland, which offer plenty of social and recreational activities. Your son might find it easier to connect with others through company-sponsored events, local meetups, or activities in the area.
Encourage him to take advantage of networking opportunities and social gatherings at work. This can help him build connections not only professionally but also personally. It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous about such a big transition, but it sounds like he has a wonderful opportunity ahead of him!
