Urgent Help Needed for May 25 CA Inter Group 2 Exams
Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out for urgent guidance as I prepare for my CA Inter Group 2 exams on May 25th. I’m feeling quite overwhelmed and can really use some help with my study plan.
I still have several pending lectures in Costing, Audit, and FM. In Costing, I have about 4-5 lectures on materials to complete, followed by overheads, ABC costing, cost sheets, cost Accounting systems, reconciliation, and various costing methods. I realistically anticipate wrapping this up by April 20th at the earliest, with no room for delays.
In Audit, I’ve finished Chapters 1, 2, 6, and 11 but have only just begun Chapter 7. My plan is to also cover Chapters 8, 4, and 10, but due to time constraints, I will only touch on important points in Chapters 3 and 9. I thought about watching one lecture a day for Chapter 5, but my schedule is tight.
For FM, I’m currently studying Leverages (with 3 lectures left) and then I intend to tackle Investment Decisions, WCM (including Estimation, Cash Management, Factoring), and financial ratios. I might need to resort to booster or marathon classes for ratios since I just can’t fit in full lectures.
Unfortunately, I haven’t even begun studying SM yet. Although I’ve covered some ground in Costing, Audit, and FM, I haven’t had the chance to properly revise anything. I made notes of important questions during my first round of study, but I haven’t revisited them due to time shortages. My time management is completely off track.
My daily routine is quite chaotic. I typically wake up around 9 AM but start studying by 11:30 AM due to distractions at home. I usually watch an Audit lecture, take a break for food, then resume studying Costing or FM around 4:30 PM. After a short break, I start another lecture around 7 PM and often study late into the night, sometimes until 1 or 1:30 AM. This disorganized schedule is really impacting my focus and time management.
I was hoping to join a fast-track course for SM with Rishabh Jain sir but haven’t found the time for that either. I had thought I could review a bit of Costing, FM, or Audit each day, but that hasn’t happened. I’m feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward; everything seems to be in disarray.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions, especially if you’ve been through something similar, I would greatly appreciate your support. I’m really struggling to find a better way to manage all of this.
Thank you!

It sounds like you’re going through a really challenging time with your CA Inter Group 2 preparation, but it’s great that you’re seeking guidance. Here are some suggestions that might help you organize your study schedule and reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed:
Make a clear, daily study schedule that breaks down your remaining topics into manageable chunks. Allocate specific hours for each subject based on your priorities and deadlines. For instance, you could set aside 2-3 hours in the morning for Costing, followed by an hour for Audit, and another 2-3 hours in the evenings for FM.
Prioritize Topics:
Focus on high-weightage topics or those that you find most challenging first. For Audit, since you’ve completed some chapters, prioritize revisiting and revising those while you work on filling gaps in your knowledge.
Use Efficient Study Methods:
For SM, if time is short, look into short, intensive booster classes to grasp the essentials quickly.
Implement Time Blocks:
Try to adopt a time-blocking approach where you set focused study periods followed by short breaks (e.g., 50 minutes study, 10-minute break). This can help improve concentration and maintain energy levels.
Morning Routine:
Adjust your morning routine to maximize productivity. Set an earlier wake-up time if possible. Use the quiet morning hours for uninterrupted study time.
Limit Distractions:
Identify distractions in your environment and try to create a dedicated study space where you can focus. Let your family know your study schedule so they can help minimize interruptions during peak study times.
Self-Care:
Don’t forget to take care of yourself. Make sure to take adequate breaks, hydrate, and get enough sleep. A healthy body fuels a focused mind.
Stay Positive and Flexible:
Remember, many students experience similar stress during exam preparation. Stay committed to your schedule, and don’t hesitate to reach out to peers or mentors for support. You’ve got this! Keep pushing forward, and believe in your ability to conquer this challenge!
