Transitioning from Insurance Account Management to Finance
I have a BBA in management and healthcare management, along with minors in communication studies, professional writing, and marketing. I graduated in 2022.
I plan to return to school next fall to pursue an MBA with a focus on finance. While I’m making headway in my current role, I know that a long-term career in the insurance industry isn’t for me, and I’d like to make a change sooner rather than later.
I’m interested in potentially becoming an investment banker, financial analyst, or financial advisor. I have a passion for the market and keep up with global financial news. Currently, I advise friends on their investments in target date funds and bonds, guiding them towards index funds and growth mutual funds.
I truly enjoy helping people maximize their wealth.
I’m seeking advice on entry-level positions in the finance sector that match my current salary of $90,000 in Insurance Account Management, where I have less than three years of experience. I want to avoid taking a pay cut while transitioning into a field I’m passionate about.
