Curious about remote work with ACCA sponsorship?
A while back, I knew someone who was studying for the ACCA while working remotely for a UK-based company, all while living in a different country. His employer covered his ACCA study materials and exam fees. Unfortunately, I’ve lost touch with him (I believe he returned to the UK), so I can’t ask him directly.
I’m reaching out to see if anyone here has had a similar experience. What types of job roles or companies should I consider for these opportunities? If you’d prefer to keep your insights private, feel free to send me a private message. Thank you!

It’s great to hear that you’re interested in pursuing ACCA with the possibility of remote work and sponsorship! While specific experiences may vary, there are definitely companies and job roles that tend to support professional development in this way.
Financial Services Firms: Many financial services firms, including Accounting firms and consultancies, often sponsor ACCA qualifications for their employees. Roles such as junior accountant, financial analyst, or auditor can be a good start.
Multinational Corporations (MNCs): Large multinational companies with a global presence may also provide sponsorship for ACCA. Look for positions in their finance or Accounting departments, even if remote.
Professional Services: Companies that offer professional services, like management consulting or advisory, are often supportive of continued learning. Positions in financial advisory or consultancy could lead to sponsorship opportunities.
Tech Companies: Some tech firms have finance teams that might provide sponsorship, especially those with a significant finance function or that actively promote employee growth.
Job Boards and Networking: Utilize platforms like LinkedIn to search for remote opportunities and find companies that have a history of supporting ACCA students. Networking with current employees or joining relevant groups can help you gather insider tips.
Contact ACCA: The ACCA organization itself might have resources or connections that could guide you to employers known for supporting candidates in your situation.
If you have specific companies or sectors in mind, I’d recommend looking at their careers page or reaching out directly to their HR departments. Best of luck in your pursuit of ACCA and remote work opportunities! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
