Considering Self-Studying: Is It Worth It?

I hope you’re all doing well! I’m 23 years old and based in the UK. I recently graduated with a first in physiotherapy, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to secure a job in the NHS over the past 8 months. This situation has prompted me to explore a potential career shift.
I hold a Higher National Diploma in Business Economics and found the Accounting and finance modules particularly engaging. During my time at university, I completed a couple of weeks of work experience in an accounts department, and I often find myself watching finance lectures in my free time.
I’m thinking about self-studying for the ACCA qualification, but I’d love to hear your thoughts before I fully commit. Do you think this profession is a good choice? How’s the job market for accountants these days?
