Exciting news!
While working on a recent project, I received a surprising call today from a whistleblower at the company I was auditing. They informed me they were resigning and shared crucial documentation that clarified my findings. It appears there’s been continuous submission of deceptive and misleading reports to a federal agency every month. I couldn’t believe my luck—I truly felt like I was handed a silver platter!
Throughout my work, I prioritize being humble and respectful during site visits. I’ve found that kindness and professionalism go a long way in fostering positive connections. Remarkably, this whistleblower reached out months after my initial project when they felt a wave of conscience and remembered that I was approachable.
As a contractor, I’m uncertain about my future with this project—whether I’ll be able to further investigate and enjoy the recognition for this discovery, or if the federal authorities will take over and assign me to something new. My instinct tells me they might have missed this initially, so part of me is hesitant to let go, but ultimately, it’s beyond my control.
Regardless, I’m feeling great about this finding—it’s a milestone for me!
