Why does HR get paid more than CPAs?

Why do HR professionals earn more than CPAs? I recently came across a post where an HR manager was making nearly $200k in a low cost of living area with just 8 years of experience. It’s making me reconsider my career path! Since I’m being let go from my Accounting position, perhaps HR could be my next move.
