I’m nearing the end of my master’s in finance, but I’m struggling with one last course. I’m looking for a tutor who specializes in financial modeling to help me prepare for my upcoming final exam in 9 days. I have a learning disability that affects my visual/spatial skills, making Excel particularly challenging for me.
The exam will last 2.5 hours and will include 4-5 Excel-based questions covering topics like portfolio theory, efficient portfolio construction, variance/covariance matrices, SML testing, the Black-Litterman model, Monte Carlo techniques, and pricing path-dependent derivatives. If you can help or know someone who can, please reach out to me via PM. Thank you!

Hi there! It sounds like you’re facing quite a challenge, but I admire your resilience in seeking help. Unfortunately, I don’t provide tutoring myself, but I can suggest a few options to find a tutor who specializes in financial modeling and is familiar with Excel.
University Resources: Check if your university has a tutoring center or study groups. Often, there are students or teaching assistants who can provide one-on-one tutoring.
Online Tutoring Platforms: Websites like Wyzant, Chegg Tutors, or Tutor.com can connect you with professionals who can tailor their assistance to your learning style.
Study Groups: Consider forming a study group with classmates. Sometimes, learning with peers can help clarify complex topics.
YouTube and Online Courses: There are many free or low-cost resources available online that cover financial modeling and Excel skills, which might help you grasp concepts outside of tutoring sessions.
Practice and Cheatsheets: If you haven’t yet, look for Excel cheatsheets specific to financial modeling. These can be a great visual aid and help you build confidence.
Good luck with your exam! You’ve got this, and it’s great that you’re looking for support.
