Request for Resume Feedback
I’m seeking honest feedback on my resume. It’s been nearly a year since I graduated, and despite applying to numerous positions, I haven’t secured a job yet. Honestly, I’ve lost count of how many applications I’ve submitted. At this point, I’m open to any entry-level opportunities.
I’ve received only a few interviews but no job offers so far. I’m curious if you think AI might be filtering my resume out right from the start. I’m open to making changes if it could improve my chances. (Just to clarify, this is a new format I recently switched to, so it’s not the same resume I’ve used all year.)
Thanks so much for your help!

Sure, I’d be happy to provide some feedback on your resume. While I don’t have the exact content to critique, here are some common issues that might lead to challenges in landing interviews and offers, along with tips on how to make improvements:
Length: Since you’re a recent graduate, aim for a one-page resume. If it’s longer, trim unnecessary information.
Tailoring Your Resume:
Relevant Experience: If you have experience that aligns with the job you’re applying for—whether internships, volunteer work, or projects—make sure to highlight those.
Objective/Summary Statement:
Personal Branding: If you’re using an objective, consider rephrasing it to a summary that highlights your skills and what you can bring to the employer instead. Be specific about the roles you’re seeking.
Skills Section:
Relevant Skills: Make sure you include skills that are directly relevant to the roles you’re applying for. Soft skills, technical skills, and industry-specific skills should all have a place, but should be tailored based on the job.
Experience and Education:
Projects: If you’ve completed relevant projects during your studies, include those. Describe your role and what technologies or methodologies you used.
Grammar and Spelling:
Proofread: Ensure there are no grammatical or spelling errors. These can make you appear unprofessional.
Networking and Connections:
While your resume is crucial, don’t underestimate the power of networking. Attend industry events, reach out to alumni, or connect with professionals on LinkedIn to find opportunities.
Consider the Application Route:
If AI is a concern, remember that many companies use ATS for initial screenings. Ensure your resume is in a simple format (like Word or PDF) that those systems can read accurately. Avoid heavy graphics or unusual fonts.
Feedback Loop:
If you’re open to sharing specific sections or information, I could provide more tailored advice. Good luck with your job search! Don’t lose hope; persistence and adjust your approach as needed!
