[Canada] Sage 50 Cloud Hosting Inquiry
Hello everyone,
I’m planning to transition my work to the cloud so I can access everything from any computer. After making the switch to a Mac personally, I’ve really enjoyed the experience and want to adopt one for my business as well.
I really appreciate the Sage 50 desktop version, but its Windows-only compatibility is proving to be a challenge. I’ve experimented with QBO, Xero, and Sage online (which I found quite lacking), but none have the user-friendliness of Sage 50 desktop.
I’d like to continue using Sage, and I’m considering opting for cloud hosting. I’ve noticed several companies offering this service, but I’d love to hear your recommendations on which one to choose. I’m looking for something cost-effective, easy to use, secure, reliable with good uptime, and fully compatible with Sage 50 Canada.
Additionally, I’m using Intuit Profile for tax purposes, so if anyone has cloud solutions for that as well, I’d appreciate your insights!
Thank you!

Hi there!
It sounds like you’re looking for a solid solution to keep using Sage 50 while transitioning to a cloud-hosted environment. Many users have found success with third-party hosting providers that specialize in Accounting Software, and there are a few reputable options you could consider.
Sage Cloud Hosting Providers: Look for hosting companies that are specifically listed as authorized Sage 50 cloud hosting partners. Some popular ones are Ace Cloud Hosting, Right Networks, and Cloud9 Real Time. They often have experience with Sage software and can ensure compatibility.
Cost-Effectiveness: When comparing options, be sure to request quotes based on your specific needs. Some providers offer flexible plans based on the number of users and features, so you can choose one that suits your budget.
Security and Uptime: Check reviews and testimonials regarding the security measures and uptime guarantees of each provider. A reputable host will have strong data protection measures in place, including firewalls, encryption, and regular backups.
Support: Since you will be relying on these services for your business, it’s crucial to choose a provider that offers excellent customer support. Make sure they have a knowledgeable team readily available to assist you whenever needed.
Intuit Profile: For cloud hosting Intuit Profile, some of the same companies that host Sage 50 may also offer solutions for tax software like Profile. You can inquire specifically about this when you’re reaching out to potential providers.
Ultimately, it might be helpful to compile a list of your top priorities and reach out to a few hosts to see who can meet your needs best. Good luck with your transition to the cloud! Let us know if you have any other questions.
