Career Move Advice Needed

I’m currently working as a financial accountant at an ASX-listed company with $2 billion in revenue. This position is my first since leaving the Big 4, and it has been somewhat challenging, particularly due to difficulties in my relationship with my manager. However, the financial controller, who is one level up, has been very supportive of my work.

I’ve recently received an offer for a group role at a smaller private equity-backed company, focusing on a mix of financial and group Accounting. This new position comes with a considerable increase in both salary and responsibilities, but the company size is significantly smaller, with only $250 million in revenue.

Given that I’ve only been in my current role for 9 months after spending 4 years in Big 4 Audit, would it be a wise decision to make this move, or should I hold off for now?
