Big4 Deals/FDD associate here. I’m currently trying to break into IB, so I’ve been reaching out to people on LinkedIn and setting up networking calls.
I recently had a conversation with a BB IB analyst, and I felt like we really hit it off. At the end of our call, I asked her if she wanted to grab drinks, and she agreed. We’re meeting next weekend.
At this point, I’m not so much focused on getting a referral as I am on getting to know her better.
I just wanted to share this because I thought it was a great outcome from a networking call, even if it’s not the usual result!
