Seeking Insights for an Accounting Software Enhancement

Over the past year, I have developed and implemented a software solution for a Dutch Accounting firm. This tool was designed to streamline the way their clients submit invoices, whether via phone or the web. Its primary function is to extract the necessary data from these invoices and transfer it seamlessly to their Accounting team for processing.
As I embark on the next phase of this project, the firm has requested various upgrades and improvements. However, I’ve encountered a challenge: I currently lack direct access to the accountants who will be using this tool on a daily basis. Without their input, it’s difficult for me to pinpoint the specific enhancements that could truly elevate their experience.
To ensure that the upgrades I propose are valuable and relevant, I am reaching out to the community for insights. If you have experience in Bookkeeping or accounting, what features do you think would enhance the usability of a tool like this? Your thoughts on functionality, user interface, and any other elements that would contribute to a better experience for the accounting team would be incredibly helpful.
