The Oddest Document Submissions: Share Your Stories
In the world of client communications, we often come across some truly baffling methods of document submission. As professionals, we strive for efficiency and clarity, yet some clients seem to take a more unconventional route.
I’d like to kick off this discussion by sharing one of my personal experiences: I once received a document not as a traditional file, but as a snapshot of a PDF shown on an iPad, captured with a Samsung phone, and then sent over via email. To top it off, we still had to manually process the invoice from that blurry image!
This prompted me to wonder about the strangest or most confusing document submissions others have encountered. Have you ever received a handwritten note that looked like it was written in the dark? Or perhaps an upside-down scan that left you scratching your head? What about a file renamed to something enigmatic, like “Image(345).jpg”?
I’m reaching out to gather your stories to reassure myself (and others) that we are not alone in navigating this chaos. There’s an underlying challenge in our industry, and by sharing our experiences, we can work towards finding solutions. I’m interested to learn about the quirks you’ve experienced in document handling.
Feel free to share your tales of the strangest submissions you’ve dealt with, whether they’re humorous or simply frustrating. Your insights could contribute to a greater understanding of how to improve client communications in the future. Let’s hear your stories!
