For context, I provide healthcare services on a 1099 basis and manage my payroll through Gusto. My financial landscape is relatively uncomplicated, consisting primarily of monthly 1099 compensation from the facilities with which I contract and a handful of business-related expenses. I’ve found that many popular programs, like QuickBooks, offer more features than I require, making them cumbersome and expensive—especially considering QuickBooks Simple Start is priced at around $35 a month. What I’m looking for is a straightforward solution that facilitates easy bookkeeping without the exorbitant monthly fees.
