The Most Unconventional Ways Clients Submit Documents
In the world of client communications and document submissions, we often encounter a range of expected and unexpected methods for sharing important files. As a professional navigating this landscape, it’s essential to appreciate the quirks of our clients. Today, I want to share a rather amusing experience I had, and I invite you to share yours as well.
I once received an invoice from a client in a rather unconventional manner: they sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, snapped with their Samsung phone, and then emailed that picture over. This meant that we had to manually process the invoice, which is certainly not the most efficient way to handle such tasks!
Have you ever experienced something similarly bizarre or laughable in your interactions with clients? Perhaps you’ve seen documents that were handwritten, scans taken upside down, or files with uninformative names like “Image(345).jpg.” These moments, while frustrating at times, can also serve as reminders of the unique challenges we all face in our professions.
I’m currently gathering stories as I work on a project aimed at addressing these common pitfalls in document submission. I assure you, this is not a sales pitch; I simply want to know that I’m not alone in this!
Feel free to share your tales of the most unusual or frustrating ways you’ve received documents. Let’s commiserate and perhaps even find humor in these shared experiences!
