As my wife prepares to embark on her journey as a freelance bookkeeper, we want to tap into the wealth of knowledge from seasoned professionals in the field. After 15-20 years of valuable experience in various Accounting roles, she has decided it’s time to break away from traditional employment to serve clients directly.
Her impressive background includes being a staff accountant and supervisor at a cable company, managing payroll for over 800 employees, and holding positions as an office manager/bookkeeper in several industries, including real estate development, construction, and automotive services. With a robust skill set and expertise in QuickBooks, she is diligently completing her certifications and fine-tuning her website, poised to attract her first clients.
Importantly, she will not be offering tax services as she currently holds neither CPA nor EA credentials. Instead, her focus is on smaller, mid-sized, and newer businesses, aiming to provide a cost-effective solution for their Bookkeeping needs. She is particularly adept at organizing chaotic financial records, preparing profit and loss statements, managing balance sheets, and identifying potential cost-saving measures. Additionally, she prioritizes automation to enhance efficiency in the services she provides.
Our initial outreach strategy involves connecting with local CPA firms, and we’re eager for your insights on the best methods to initiate these relationships.
