What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Most Unconventional Document Submissions: Share Your Stories

As professionals, we all have our fair share of amusing and bewildering moments when it comes to document submissions from clients. Every now and then, a submission leaves us scratching our heads in disbelief.

I’d like to kick off a discussion about the most outlandish ways you’ve received documents from clients. Here’s a humorous example from my own experience: a client once forwarded me a photograph of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To top it off, the photo was taken with a Samsung phone, and then emailed to me. Predictably, we still had to go through the manual process of entering that invoice into our system.

Now, I’d love to hear your stories! Have you encountered handwritten documents that were difficult to decipher, bizarre scans that were positioned upside down, or files named ambiguously as “Image(345).jpg”? Whatever your experiences may be, let’s gather these tales.

I’m exploring potential solutions to streamline and improve the way we handle document submissions, and I’d appreciate knowing that I’m not the only one navigating this chaos. Share your weirdest or most frustrating experiences—let’s connect and commiserate!
