The Absurd World of Document Submissions: Our Most Memorable Examples
Receiving documents from clients can sometimes lead to some truly bizarre scenarios. As professionals, we often hope for straightforward submissions that meet standard protocols. However, reality suggests otherwise. Today, I want to highlight some of the more perplexing—and often humorous—ways clients have shared their documents.
Let me share one of my personal experiences as a starting point: I once had a client send me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To add to the absurdity, this photo was taken with a Samsung phone before being emailed to me. As you might imagine, this required us to manually process the invoice, adding unnecessary steps to an otherwise straightforward task.
Now, this had me wondering: what are some of the oddest document submissions you’ve encountered? We’re talking about anything from handwritten notes and scans that are completely upside down, to files whimsically renamed as “Image(345).jpg.”
I’m gathering these stories not to push any solution or product, but to highlight the chaos we sometimes face in document management. So, don’t hesitate to share your experiences! Let’s assure ourselves that none of us are navigating this whirlwind alone. Feel free to comment below with your strangest document submission tales!
