The Most Outlandish Document Submissions: A Call for Your Stories
In the world of client communications, we often encounter some perplexing methods of document delivery. Today, I’d like to share an amusing yet frustrating experience I had and invite you to join in with your own tales of document derailment.
Not long ago, a client sent me an invoice in a rather unconventional manner. Instead of forwarding a standard PDF or even a scanned document, they took a photograph of the PDF displayed on their iPad using a Samsung phone. To add to the irony, this photo was then emailed to me. As a result, we had to manually process the invoice, which was both time-consuming and, candidly, a bit absurd.
As I reflect on this and other similar incidents, I can’t help but wonder what kinds of unusual document submissions others have encountered. Whether it’s a handwritten note delivered via snail mail, an upside-down scan, or a file named cryptically like “Image(345).jpg,” I’m sure we’ve all had our share of document dilemmas.
I’m currently compiling stories related to these chaotic experiences—not to promote any specific solution, but to validate that I’m not alone in navigating this documentation chaos. If you have a bizarre or frustrating document submission story, I would love to hear it. Your experiences might just resonate with others facing similar challenges. Please share your tales in the comments!
