Navigating Job Searches: Direct Applications Versus Recruitment Agencies

As I approach the culmination of my Master’s in Business Analytics, with graduation set for August 2025, I’m reflecting on my journey so far, including four years of valuable experience in Accounting and auditing. The time has come for me to transition into the job market and seek full-time opportunities in the Accounting and finance sectors, ideally roles that incorporate analytics as well.

In this pivotal stage, I find myself pondering an essential question:

Is it more beneficial to apply directly to companies or to engage through recruitment and staffing agencies?

Additionally, I’m curious about the tangible benefits that recruitment agencies provide in this competitive landscape. I’ve come across well-known organizations such as Creative Financial Staffing and Robert Half, but I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for other reputable agencies.

Furthermore, I am open to relocating to broaden my job prospects, so any insights regarding that would also be welcomed.
